  • We currently transfer VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS, Video8, Hi8, Digital8, MiniDV, and HDV tapes. If you're unsure what you have, send us a photo and we'll help identify the format.

  • Most tape transfers start at $30 per tape. Larger collections may qualify for discounted pricing. Visit our Pricing page or request a free quote for an estimate.

  • Your recordings are delivered as high-quality MP4 files that play on Windows, Mac, iPhone, Android, smart TVs, and most modern devices.

  • Yes. Your original tapes are returned upon request. If you choose not to have them returned, they'll be securely held for 30 days before being responsibly recycled.

  • Depending on the size of your collection and our current workload. We'll provide an estimated turnaround before work begins.

  • Unlike VHS and other analog formats, MiniDV and HDV recordings are transferred digitally over FireWire (IEEE 1394) whenever possible. This preserves the original digital recording without converting it back to analog video.

  • Our primary goal is to preserve your recordings as faithfully as possible. Optional enhancement and AI upscaling services are available for customers who would like additional restoration.

  • Yes. Every analog tape is played from beginning to end during capture, allowing us to monitor both picture and sound throughout the transfer.

  • Every collection is handled individually using dedicated playback equipment. Your tapes are never outsourced, and your original recordings are never altered during the transfer process.

  • Minor issues can often be addressed during the transfer process. If a tape requires specialized repair before playback, we'll contact you before any additional work is performed.

  • No. We only transfer recordings that you own or have permission to duplicate.

  • No problem. Send us a photo of your tapes, and we'll identify the format and recommend the best transfer method.

  • Absolutely. Whether you have a few family tapes or several boxes of recordings, we'll provide a custom quote based on the size of your collection.

  • No. Once your project has been delivered, your files are retained for a limited time before being securely deleted unless you've made other arrangements with us.
